QUESTION:
I created a new web stats page and now the last one I created is gone. Where did it go?

ANSWER:
This program auto-generates .htm pages using the same file name, "00000001.htm," each time. Therefore, if you do not rename this file before creating another, you will lose the old copy of the web page on your local hard drive. Do the following before creating web stats pages.

  1. Open My Computer, located on your desktop.
  2. Locate the "QuikStatBB" folder on the local hard drive of your computer. If you installed to the default location, the folder will be located at the root of the local hard drive.
  3. Find the file titled "00000001.htm" in the "QuikStatBB" folder. If file extensions are hidden on your computer, simply find "00000001."
  4. Right-click on the name of the file. Choose Rename from the menu.
  5. Give the file an appropriate new name. Check with your Internet Service Provider regarding acceptable file names. In general, it is best to keep the name completely lowercase and to not use special characters. Special characters are anything besides letters and digits.
  6. When you are finished renaming, open QuikStat Play-by-Play and create a new web stats page.

It is good practice to change the name of the file of a web stats page everytime you have created one.

Please note that, while the program auto-generates the web page, it does not post it to a server. That is something you will need to do if you would like other people to be able to view your stats.
