QUESTION:
The FireScout System Requirements lists Canopus as the recommended media converter. I have a different brand of media converter. Can I still use it?

ANSWER:
You may use any media converter that has IEEE 1394/FireWire® ports. FireWire® technology is required in order to capture video in the DV-AVI format. Media converters with USB ports are not capable of capturing video in an appropriate format for use with FireScout.
