FAQ FSBKBFAQ4: Saving a search to a different folder

QUESTION:
I created and saved a search using the Layer Editor. I opened the Layer Editor, selected File > Open, browsed to the place where I stored my search, and clicked Open. When I selected File > Perform Search, I got the error message, "No segments were found matching your layers." Why?
ANSWER:
If you saved your search to a folder other than the default "fb_baskQK," which is located in the "VS2002" folder, you will not be able to perform your search. To resolve this, do the following.
- Open My Computer on your desktop.
- If My Computer is maximized, click the Restore Down button in the top right corner and size the screen such that a portion of the desktop is showing.
- If the screen is not divided into folders on the left and subfolders and files on the right, click the Folders button in the toolbar. Using the directory on the left, navigate to the folder in which you saved your search and locate the search file.
- Click and drag the search file to your desktop.
- Locate and click on the "fb_baskQK" folder using the directory on the left of the My Computer window. If you installed the program to the default location, the "fb_baskQK" folder will be located at the root of your local hard drive in the "VS2002" folder.
- Click and drag the search file from your desktop into the file and subdirectory listing on the right of the My Computer window. The search is now in the "fb_baskQK" folder.
You will now be able to open FireScout Basketball and perform your search.
